Welcome to CCDC on the web.

CCDC is a membership organization formed to support and encourage carriage driving. The group is based in North Carolina with members that span the entire state, though most are located in the "central" piedmont area of NC. The club is a diverse group including drivers of all skill levels as well as a wide range of ages, from junior whips as young as nine, to senior citizens, and every age between.

Upcoming Events (more information on the calendar page)

BIG NEWS!!! July 13th - Muffy Seaton, international carriage driving competitor, trainer and clinician,  is doing the carriage driving demonstration at the Equine Extravaganza on July 12. I have contacted her and she has agreed to do a clinic for us on Sunday, July 13! You may have seen Muffy's video, Bending the Driving Horse. In February Linda had the opportunity to attend her Adult Driving Camp and experience her training methods first hand. It was extremely helpful!

The clinic format will include a 1/2 hour lesson on long lines so that you and your horse can learn the bending technique followed by a 45 minute private lesson with the carriage. We can take up to 7 drivers. The cost is $100/ whip which includes both the long line and driving sessions, lunch and one auditor fee for your helper. Other auditors are welcome for $25 which includes lunch. The location is still being determined but it will be in the Raleigh area.

Please contact Linda Sewall at (252)753-7777 or LCSOnion&aol.com (remove the & and replace with @ ) to reserve your spot! If the clinic isn't full in 2 weeks, we will open the clinic up to non-CCDC members!
